The Total Economic Impact™ of IBM Security Randori

About the study

IBM commissioned Forrester to conduct the Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study by interviewing four clients about the value of their investments in the Randori attack surface management (ASM) and continuous automated red teaming (CART) solutions. The interviewed security leaders shared that by deploying the Randori platform, their organizations were able to detect shadow IT assets, rapidly respond to vulnerabilities like Log4j and redirect time previously spent triaging exposures to more proactive security exercises.

The June 2023 study noted: “Compared to their prior environments, interviewees reported between 50% and approximately 95% reductions in manual effort with Randori’s continuous security monitoring.”

Based on the in-depth client interviews, Forrester constructed a single composite organization that aggregated the representatives’ experiences with using the Randori platform. The composite matured its security to an ASM-focused posture in the first year with IBM Security Randori Recon and augmented its red team capabilities with IBM Security Randori Attack in the second and third years. Many quantifiable benefits were identified, including the following:

  • 90% fewer hours of vulnerability scanning per year
  • 75% labor savings from augmented red team activities
  • 30% reduction in time to triage exposures for remediation
  • 20% decrease in cyber insurance premiums

Putting the utopia into ‘Remotopia’

alling all innovators, culture creators, tastemakers and game changers — the world is in the midst of a fundamental change in how work is done. Thanks to meaningful advancements in technology and the pressures of a global health pandemic, businesses everywhere are living through the newest evolution of work: remote work at scale or, as we’ve termed it, “Remotopia.”

However, many business leaders are struggling to come to terms with the shift to remote work, from adopting the flexibility required to meet employee expectations, to managing rampant attrition. Unfortunately, if the past 18 months has revealed anything, it’s that the employee/employer relationship has long been broken.

Healing that relationship is no longer optional. When the daily grind was put on hold for many office workers last year, people had the time, space and perspective to evaluate how their professional choices contributed — or didn’t — to their own value systems. People started to see how their lives fit around work instead of the other way around. Today, the power dynamic has shifted, especially as employees and job candidates now have unprecedented access to:

  • Information about work (i.e., commensurate compensation, competitors, environments, practices, bargaining rights, ownership models, distribution of profit and wealth, and the impact of investment decisions)

  • Alternatives to work (downshifting careers, entrepreneurship, self-employment, much-needed vocations)

Organizations that recognize Remotopia as an essential place for the future of work — and do what’s needed to become future-fit — will thrive. Those that don’t will continue to struggle to attract and keep top talent.

Optionality: the new workplace imperative

When COVID-19 forced the global workforce into working remotely, the first question most of us asked was how can we possibly innovate? That question was quickly followed by how much can we innovate right now?

More than a year and a half into the global pandemic, technology innovation has unleashed a new normal in which everything previously stuck in analog has downshifted to a digital autobahn. Remote high-speed interactions at school, at work and in all elements of society accelerated, and for better or worse, there’s no turning back.

With software engineering and collaborative technology dominating like never before, turning even the most ardent Luddites into digital savants, it’s high time we drop any notion of “new” and simply embrace our normal.

Optionality and redefining ‘normal’

As business leaders consider more opportunities to ignite change, it’s become critical to take a new look at corporate cultures and adopt a mindset of “optionality,” which places more power and control in the hands of employees, for both in-person and remote activities.

Consider the new questions raised by the collaboration platforms embraced early in the pandemic and still heavily used today:

  • Is work best done in pajamas at the kitchen table?
  • Do we put our “real” clothes on and venture back into the office?
  • How will answers to both these questions impact our ability to recruit and retain our best talent?

The answers are not necessarily rooted in technology. The fact is, it doesn’t matter if you sit in Paris, France, or Paris, Texas — the best talent doesn’t have to move an inch to fulfill their roles if we remake our culture and provide employees with alternatives that empower them and improve their experience.

How to build a unified travel experience

I’m back to traveling again and I’m loving it. I’ve been connecting with family, friends and colleagues and sampling the sights, sounds and flavors from all corners of the globe. And I know I’m not alone. Anyone who has spent any amount of time at an airport over the last 12 months can assure you that the passion for travel is back, and the flame is more alive than ever. Our latest consumer survey shows that 71% of consumers plan to sustain or increase their current spending on leisure travel in the next year.

And it’s not just travelers who are loving it. Travel companies are also seeing the benefits of this major jump in demand, and are finally reaping the rewards of the investments they made in technology during the pandemic. However, while many of these investments were made to take advantage of pent-up demand as pandemic restrictions were lifted, they quickly became part of a patchwork of technology solutions that have led to a fragmented traveler journey. As a result, many travel companies currently find themselves in a situation where they can only fulfil certain stages of the traveler journey and are missing out on opportunities to add value in other areas.

Odoo Vs Zoho Feature Comparison

Odoovszoho

The two most crucial features any business capitalizes on to scale further, are SALES and CRM.
They probably are in a league of their own to be the deciding factors of an empowered business.

Let us look at these two areas in Odoo and Zoho:

CRM

  • Odoo CRM is an enhanced version when compared to Zoho CRM. It provides lead scoring, sales quotes, lead management, and de-duplication. Zoho does not provide lead scoring and sales quote features.
  • Email integration is common to both tools but Odoo is comparatively a little ahead here as well. Odoo is the better one, as it has contact forms, mass mailing (as we told you above), and a website call to action too.
  • Sales pipeline management is exclusive to Odoo. It supports opportunity management, pipeline management, expected closing dates, log calls, scripts, and automated next actions. Does Zoho deliver this? NO.
  • Since these features are what places Odoo above Zoho, CRM is a powerful module of Odoo and it is only going to get robust in the near future.

CRM VERDICT = Odoo has the better CRM!

Sales Management

  • Sales management and sales order is another remarkable capability of Odoo. With an advanced tool, sales become easier to accomplish and the whole process leading to it is flexible.
  • Some of Odoo’s features are sales quotation, price listing, online payment, eSignature, inline negotiation, and multiple units of measure. Zoho on the other hand supports only quotations and inline negotiations.

SALES MANAGEMENT VERDICT = Odoo manages your sales better!

Generative AI for everyone

Imagine every employee in your company had an assistant that "knew" everything your organization had ever known—the entire history, context, nuance and intent of the business and its operations—and could process, analyze and use that information in a matter of seconds, in infinitely repeatable ways.

We're at a phase in the adoption cycle when most organizations are starting to experiment by consuming foundation models "off the shelf." However, the biggest value for many will come when they customize or fine tune models using their own data to address their unique needs.

For those without a Prime membership, they tend to spend a little less freely than their Prime counterparts. About three-quarters of non-Prime shoppers spend between $100 to $500 a year on Amazon.

THE SOLAR IMPULSE FOUNDATION

Today, we are aware of the complexity and beauty of the Earth, but also of its fragility. This is why our challenge is no longer the discovery of new territories, but the exploration of new ways of thinking and doing. This will be critical if we are to build a model where societal prosperity grows in balance with Nature, allowing us to tackle inequalities and build broad-based prosperity for all. I am convinced that the new explorers of the 21st century will be business leaders and captains of industry, collaborating with politicians and civic society to build a new model of sustainable growth, tackling our most critical environmental and social issues.

What the world needs now is bold corporate leaders, rather than managers, who are ready to step outside their comfort zone and make radical decisions in order to put their business strategy at the service of the general interest, by fighting climate change and reducing inequality. It’s encouraging to see that more and more leaders are now making commitments on these issues and taking action. Last year, the number of corporations that committed to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050 more than doubled, including major players such as BP or Nestlé. Others, such as Microsoft, have gone further by declaring that they would become carbon-negative, meaning they will reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
